Concrete Contractors in Mud Bay, Olympia, WA
Mud Bay sits at the head of Eld Inlet west of Olympia, where US-101 crosses the tide flats. A lot of the ground here is low and wet, so every slab we pour starts with drainage: a deeper base, the right slope, and somewhere for the water to go.

Why Mud Bay is different
Low, wet ground
High winter groundwater and soft soils mean slabs need more base and better drainage to avoid settling and heaving.
Wetland and shoreline buffers
Much of the area is near regulated wetlands and shoreline. Thurston County rules apply; we keep work out of buffers or get it approved.
Rural lots
Shop pads, RV pads and long drives are common jobs here.

Can you pour a slab on wet ground?
Yes, with the right prep: excavate soft soil, build up a compacted gravel base and give water a way out. Skipping that is why slabs here crack and sink.
Do I need County approval near the tide flats?
Work in or near wetland and shoreline buffers usually does. We check your property before design.
My existing slab sank — can it be lifted?
If it’s intact, foam leveling often works well on lighter-weight soils because it adds little weight.
