Concrete Hot Tub Pads in Olympia, WA
A filled hot tub weighs a few thousand pounds and has to sit flat for years. We pour hot-tub and spa pads sized and reinforced for the tub’s filled weight, flat under the shell and sloped to drain everywhere around it, with electrical conduit placed before the pour if needed.

Hot Tub Pads scope
- Hot-tub and spa pads
- Thicker, reinforced slabs sized to the filled tub
- Compacted crushed-rock base, more on wet sites
- Electrical conduit placed before the pour
- Slope and drainage away from the house
- Textured or stamped non-slip surrounds
- Steps, landings and paths to the tub
- Tear-out of an old patio that can’t carry a tub

What’s different here
Sized for the filled weight
A filled hot tub is heavy. We thicken and reinforce the pad under it. Bring your tub’s install guide to the estimate and we’ll size the pad to it.
Flat under the tub, drained around it
The pad sits flat for the shell. The concrete around it slopes away from the house, toward drains or lawn.
Power planned first
If power runs under the slab, the conduit goes in before the pour, so nobody has to cut new concrete later.

How thick should a hot tub pad be?
Spa makers’ install guides usually call for at least 4 inches of reinforced concrete, and more for large tubs and swim spas. We size the thickness and reinforcement to your tub’s filled weight. More in our hot tub pad guide.
How much does a hot tub pad cost?
Hot-tub pads are quoted per job, with a minimum charge on small pads. A textured deck around the tub typically runs about $7–$12 per square foot, stamped or colored about $14–$25. Your exact price comes in writing after a free on-site estimate.
Can you run conduit for the hot tub’s power?
Yes. If the power will run under the slab, we place the conduit before the pour. The wiring itself is your electrician’s job.
Can my existing patio hold a hot tub?
Sometimes, if the slab is thick enough, sound and flat. We’ll look at it during the estimate and tell you honestly whether it will carry the tub.
